A proper seasoning process helps your KingChii humidor perform at its best from day one. It allows the cedar interior to absorb the right amount of moisture, creating a better environment for your cigars and helping preserve aroma and flavor.
Step 1: Clean and Check the Interior
Before first use, open the humidor and make sure the interior is clean and dry. Remove all packaging materials, shelves, and accessories if needed.
Step 2: Use Distilled Water Only
Fill the water box or humidification accessory with distilled water only. Do not use tap water, purified water with minerals, or any chemical solution, as they may affect the cedar and the flavor of your cigars.
Step 3: Let the Cedar Absorb Moisture Naturally
Place the water box inside the humidor and close the door.
Let the cedar interior slowly absorb moisture for about 24–48 hours.
Do not place cigars inside during this step.
Step 4: Set the Temperature
Turn on the humidor and set it to your preferred storage temperature. A stable, moderate temperature is ideal for protecting cigar flavor and condition.
Step 5: Add Your Cigars After Humidity Stabilizes
Once the interior humidity becomes stable, you can place your cigars inside. Arrange them neatly on the cedar shelves or in the drawers, leaving enough space for air circulation.
Helpful Tips
